Welcome to The Woman’s Exchange of Memphis

where our goal is to support the arts of Memphis all while bringing support to others as well as our community. Founded in 1885, we aim to achieve our mission of “helping other to help themselves.” We do this by providing a place to shop, consign, volunteer and donate. Each month we feature local artists and we are proud to provide a distinctive retail venue for local seamstresses and consignors.

In addition to our beautiful shop, we also have an award winning tea room. A lovely eatery for casual and sumptuous meals and desserts, all served by a volunteer staff of Woman’s Exchange members.

We encourage you to come in and see one of Memphis’ oldest and finest traditions of hospitality, fine Southern cooking and an exquisite hand-made infant and children’s clothing. We look forward in seeing you and together we believe we can make a difference that will last.

The Shop

Unique, handcrafted, beautiful and interesting await you in your visit. We feature local artists specializing in pottery, kitchenware, children’s books and toys, baby gifts and many other one-of-a-kind treasures.
